In a bid to protect pilgrims from scams and unregistered agents, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has released an updated roster of approved Umrah service providers.
The list, featuring 26 licensed operators, was made public on the ministry’s official website after officials confirmed each company’s agreement and compliance with regulations. The approved firms are located in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sahiwal, and Karachi.
A ministry spokesperson stressed that only bookings through these authorized operators should be considered, warning that unverified channels could lead to financial loss or disrupted travel plans. Authorities plan to expand the list as more companies complete the verification process.
By centralizing and publicizing this information, the ministry aims to make Umrah arrangements more secure, especially during peak travel seasons when fraudulent operators often target unsuspecting pilgrims.
