Security forces have killed four militants in Balochistan’s Mastung district during an intelligence-driven raid, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation, launched on Friday, targeted a suspected hideout of fighters accused of receiving backing from India. The military said the group had been involved in a series of violent attacks across the region.
Troops engaged the suspects in a fierce gun battle before eliminating them. A significant haul of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was seized, pointing to the group’s ability to carry out further strikes.
After the firefight, security personnel began a clearance sweep in Mastung to ensure no other armed elements remained active. Authorities emphasized that such follow-up operations are standard to prevent militants from regrouping.
The ISPR noted that the raid fits into a larger counterterrorism strategy aimed at dismantling hostile networks operating in Balochistan and beyond. The military reiterated its resolve to “completely eradicate terrorism” and hold external sponsors of violence accountable.
