Alaska Batteries Launches Heat-Resistant Graphite Series for Pakistan’s Energy Needs

In a move aimed squarely at Pakistan’s challenging climate, Alaska Batteries has rolled out its new Graphite Series, a lead-acid battery line enhanced with graphite technology to withstand extreme heat and deliver faster charging.

CEO Moosa Bin Haroon says the addition of graphite to the battery plates is a “transformative” step, not just an upgrade. According to him, the new design offers up to 30% longer cycle life, quicker recharge times, and better performance in high-temperature zones such as Karachi, Multan, and Bahawalpur—areas where summer temperatures can exceed 45°C.

Tackling Pakistan’s Battery Pain Points

For years, local consumers have faced two persistent problems: batteries wearing out prematurely under heat stress, and the long downtime caused by slow recharging—issues that hit both UPS backup systems and solar storage setups hard. Alaska’s Graphite Series is built to counter both, marrying material science with the realities of daily energy demands.

Independent tests and early users report fewer breakdowns, reduced maintenance, and more stable load performance—benefits that could make a real difference for households and businesses coping with frequent outages.

Expanding Beyond Manufacturing

Alaska Batteries has a strong footprint across major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, and Peshawar, plus smaller markets. The company also runs a digital training program to help customers and mechanics get the most out of their batteries—a step that aligns with its push to be seen not just as a producer, but as a full energy solutions provider.

Group Chairman Haroon Mehmood says the company’s approach is rooted in understanding local challenges rather than chasing global tech trends. “The Graphite Series is the result of designing specifically for Pakistan’s conditions,” he said.

Strong Market Reception

Dealers are already reporting brisk reorders and growing consumer trust, citing both the performance gains and Alaska’s active engagement with the market. With Pakistan’s automotive, UPS, and solar sectors continuing to expand, Alaska Batteries appears set to position itself as a long-term partner in ensuring reliable energy storage.
